Dr Ken Michael AM, student 1954-55, in launching the book (September 2005) had this to say:
This is an extensive history, beautifully compiled and well thought out in respect of providing a variety of presentations, such that you can journey from beginning to end or you can almost open any page and read a relevant story about an event, a person, a function (art, drama, sport) by way of example. You can spend hours reading and enjoying it or you can simple pick it up for a quick read of someone or something. It is quite fascinating and you will find yourself reading or perusing this wealth of knowledge for quite some time.
This pleasure is enhanced by the companion CD supplied with each book. When you open the CD, I am sure you will be enriched by transcripts of interviews with past students. My previous university supervisor was amongst them, so I studied this with much interest.
