Background

Perth Modern School (PMS) was founded in 1911 as the first secondary Public School in WA. It is the only academically selective school in WA. It has high standards scholastically, musically, in developing leadership and in community service. The Perth Modernian Society Inc. is the School’s alumni body and is the parent body of the Sphinx Foundation Inc.

The Sphinx Scholarship Fund, launched by the Foundation in 2009, raises funds from donors and through investing those funds is able to provide an extensive range of scholarships and bursaries for PMS students.

The Role

The Sphinx Foundation is seeking to engage a dedicated and detail-oriented Scholarship Fund Executive Officer to oversee the administration of the Sphinx Scholarship Fund. The Executive Officer will be engaged on a part-time basis in collaboration with the Sphinx Foundation Board of Directors and the PMS staff.

This will involve managing donor relations, coordinating the annual fundraising appeal, and overseeing the application and selection processes for scholarship awards. The role is situated in Perth, Western Australia and will require a current Working With Children card.
